An often overlooked little suburb north of Austin, Cedar Park has a ton of fun things to do. Living one city over from it, I think I overlooked how many great & unique things there really were. So if you live close by, or are planning on visiting the Austin area, I encourage you to give these Top 5 a try!
Top 5 Things to Do in Cedar Park
1. Lake Travis Zipline Adventure– With the longest zipline in Texas, Lake Travis Zipline Adventures is one of the most thrilling things we have done as a family. Take the time to book this 3 hour adventure with some of the coolest guides you will ever meet and enjoy the longest, 2nd longest and 3rd longest zipline in Texas!
2. Veterans Memorial Pool – This fun city-owned pool features slides, a tall platform, and obstacle course-like structures – plenty to keep your kiddos busy. They also have a fun kiddie splash area for the little ones.
3. Cedar Park Center – The Cedar Park Center brings some big names to town – we saw The Killers AND Disney on Ice there last month and is home to the Texas Stars Hockey team. We love to go to the Cedar Park Center as it is so close, parking is a breeze and it feels more intimate than your typical stadium.
4. Austin Steam Train – Cedar Park is also home to the Austin Steam Train, which features weekend rides out to the Hill Country. It is a nostalgic trip for all ages. They also feature fun themed trips like the North Pole Flyer at Christmas time.
5. Williamson County Regional Park- Another fun park that Cedar Park brings us is home to the Quarry Splash Pad, a unique and large splash pad, and the Cedar Rock Railroad, a fun miniature train ride. This park also features multiple sports fields, a track, and great picnic areas.
