This week, my daughter and I are heading to the elite Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World. This is my first time to be invited to this conference, so we are thrilled to be experiencing all the surprises and fun that come with the DisneySMMC!
What is Disney Social Media Moms Celebration?
Earlier this year, in March, I was invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World. This conference is special and you can go only go with an invitation from Disney, so you can see why I was thrilled to be included on the list and immediately booked my reservations.
The Disney Social Media Mom Celebration is a mix of a Disney press event, blogging conference and family vacation. The celebration brings together top blogging/social media moms & dads for a few days of surprises, education, and excitement, hence the reason it is called a celebration and not just a conference.
I have attended the Disney Social Media Moms On-the-Road Celebrations and have gotten just a small taste of what I am in store for, so I am thrilled to be attending this year.
Disney Social Media Moms Celebration: The Surprise
In a weird twist of events, I was able to surprise my 15 year old daughter with the trip to Walt Disney World too.
I have known that I was going to take my 15 year old daughter since I booked my reservations but I kept putting off telling her. The timing was never right and I wanted it to be a memorable surprise.
A few weeks ago, I attended our annual TravelingMom retreat at Walt Disney World and was able to capture a few moments with some Cast Members that helped me make a funny video for her.
Last Friday, she broke her ankle while playing soccer and I knew this would be the perfect way to surprise her. What I didn’t expect was her reaction:
