New American Girl Store in Austin, TX
On Saturday, September 2, grab your girl and her favorite doll for a trip to American Girl in Austin’s premier outdoor shopping mall, The Domain! Tucked away behind H&M, across the street from Punch Bowl Social, this family-friendly destination is opening in The Domain on Saturday, September 2, and will remain open through Monday, January 28, 2018. The 5,000 square-foot store will feature an assortment of American Girl dolls, outfits and accessories. There will also be a selection of the company’s bestselling historical and contemporary fiction and activity books.
American Girl Grand Opening Event
During the Grand Opening weekend celebration, September 2 and 3, girls in attendance will receive a free gift and craft, while supplies last. Shoppers can also enter for a chance to win a 2017 Girl of the Year collection, featuring the 18-inch Gabriela doll and paperback book, Gabriela’s accessories and Gabriela’s pet cat plush!

Tickets for Grand Opening Weekend
American Girl in The Domain is the place to be this Labor Day weekend! Line up as early as 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday to get tickets to enter the store at a specific time. This will assure that the store never gets over-crowded and all guests have an enjoyable experience playing with the dolls and displays. On Saturday, the store will be open from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. and on Sunday it will be open from noon to 6 p.m.
Sneak Peak into the Austin American Girl Store
Austin’s American Girl store is a seasonal store, much smaller than the permanent stores in Dallas and Houston. But, although this pop-up shop lacks additional features like a hair salon and restaurant, it does have a significant amount of inventory. We were fortunate enough to check out the soft opening of the Austin store and Poppy, our four-year-old American Girl doll enthusiast, loved all of the interactive displays. With American Girl, there are seemingly endless accessories to try, from a campfire that lights up and crackles to a banjo amp that plays music. Poppy had a great time playing with the dolls and was extremely reluctant to leave without purchasing all of them to take home with her.
