Why I Can’t Wait to Get to Tomorrowland

When the invitation came a few weeks ago inviting me to participate in the Tomorrowland press event with Disney Pictures, I was over the moon excited to be going.  Me? Go to Los Angeles to be involved in a movie event?  Much less one that stars THE George Clooney?  I got butterflies every time I thought about it.

But as I’ve done my research in preparation for the event & interviews, I have really been intrigued with this movie.

Walt Disney’s vision of a utopia of the future was amazing.  I am so very interested in learning more about how he envisioned so many of the modern technologies we have today.  As part of the #TomorrowlandEvent, we will have the opportunity to visit the Disney Archives and learn more about Walt Disney’s vision of Tomorrowland.  We get to actually see the plans and designs he created y’all. Blow my mind.

Being a Disney fan, I was so excited to see all the references there were to Disneyland in the movie as well:

It is a cool science fiction – or as Damon Lindelof (writer of Tomorrowland) called it “Science Fact” – movie and of course I am thrilled to be participating in the interviews of stars Britt Robertson (Casey), Raffey Cassidy (Athena) as well as Director/Producer/Writer Brad Bird and Producer/Writer Damon Lindelof.

And this guy…..

Yep.  I have the opportunity to interview THE George Clooney.  You know, the Facts-of-Life-Dr.-Ross-Oceans-11-I-Married-Amal- Clooney.   THAT George Clooney.

Yes. I promise to be professional.

Really, I am thrilled to learn what attracted him to this project. I was so happy to see him do a Disney Pictures film – one that my kids can see.  One that will make us think and have conversations about.  I am serious when I say Tomorrowland was one of the most anticipated movies of this year for our family….way before the press event invitation came.
