Walt Disney Studio’s highly anticipated movie, Queen of Katwe, is based on the true story of a young girl from rural Uganda whose world changes when she is introduced to the game of chess. Through this game, and from the support she receives playing it, she gains the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion.
I have had so many of my friends see this movie over the summer in sneak peeks and just reading their articles made me want to see it more – read Jennifer’s here . So I can’t wait to take my daughter to see it.
