There is nothing more fun that an old-fashioned town Christmas Fair. And the city of Georgetown does a fantastic job of creating that fun with their annual Christmas Stroll. This Friday and Saturday, the 34th Annual Georgetown Christmas Stroll takes place on the Georgetown Square.
Friday, November 30th 6-9pm
Saturday, December 1 9am-8pm
I just love the description of the Georgetown Stroll…..I couldn’t have written it better:
Remember the exhilarating feeling as you first glimpsed the reflection of the blinking lights on the window panes; sat on Santa’s lap and told him one momentous wish; or held a loved one’s hand while venturing through an enchanting storybook town come to life with charming festivities? Re-capture the magic of memories at the 32nd annual Christmas Stroll. Visit Georgetown’s picturesque downtown square when it transforms into a genuine Christmas card come to life.
Take a look at some of the fun planned for this weekend:
Bethlehem Village: Experience the sights and sounds of the City of Bethlehem on the night that Jesus was born.
WHOO-Village: A free play area for the kiddos with games, crafts, and fun WHOO-ville hair dos! You may just meet up with the Grinch here too.
Santa’s North Pole & Toy Shop: All Things Kids Toy Store on Main Street hosts Santa Claus this weekend. Come and visit with Santa on Dec 1 from 2 – 8 pm.
Snowzilla: Take a ride on the first artificial snow tub ride located in Whoo-Village.
Free Train Rides
Free Covered Wagon Rides
Artisan & Crafter’s Village: Over 200 vendors!
And of course, a Christmas Stroll Parade that begins at noon where you can help welcome Santa to Christmas Stroll. Sounds like a wonderful weekend event to kick-off the Christmas Holiday!
