With the End of School fast approaching us, we need to celebrate a great year of school! With a little bit of planing I have found some easy ways to do just that. Here are a few ways to Celebrate the End of School:
About the middle of May, I start getting panicky. It’s about that time when I know I have only a few weeks left before summer starts and I know I have about a million and one things to get done before the kids are home for the summer. Good thing it’s just a feeling and I don’t actually get to work.
Instead, I plan to enjoy these last few weeks with a little celebrating of the end of the year and the beginning of the summer. Here are a few ways I have celebrated in the past and plan to do in the future:
11 Fun Ways to Celebrate the End of School for Kids & Moms!
End of School – Plan a Spa Party: Our local spa (SpaSocial) hosts spa parties for groups and what better way to face 3 months of the kids home than a day of relaxing with your closest friends?? That’s where we are headed, the day before the last day of school!
End of School – Host a Pool Party: Invite your girlfriends over for a dip in the pool the week before the kids get out and the pool gets invaded. Enjoy the quiet tanning time with a few friends or make it a picnic with a group. Enjoy the peace before all the splashing starts!
End of School – Bus Stop Party: Meet the kids on the last day of school at the bus stop with fun signs, balloons, and popsicles! And here’s 5 fun variations of this.
End of School – Last Day of School Basket: Greet the kids on the last day with a fun basket filled with summer goodies. You can even include a cute note like Organize Your Stuff Now Did.
End of School – Last Lunch Ever!: Make a special last day of school lunch and decorate it in a fun way like everything pink did for her daughter.
End of School – Last Day of School Tee: Create a fun t-shirt and send your kiddo to school with fabric markers to sign the shirt with. Love this version from Chaos Served Daily.
End of School – Countdown to Summer: Find small summer gifts (goggles, flip flops, sunscreen, pool toys, etc) and present them each day as a countdown to the last day of school.
End of School – Take a Last Day of School Photo: Yellow Bliss Road has these adorable printable chalkboard signs.
End of School – Last Day of School Note: Take a moment and write a letter to your child about the past year of school. Start this tradition when they are young and you will have a whole collection when they graduate! I also like Two Naps by Noon‘s idea to add a bit of money!
End of School – Walk of Fame: Create a “walk of fame” with all your child’s accomplishments from the year. I love how Dixie Delights made signs and led her son down his walk!
End of School – Run-thru Banner: Create a large banner that covers your front door or walkway for your kiddo to run through after the last day of school. Here’s another example by Dixie Delights.
