This is it!! As I am typing this up, I am on my very last day of my 21 Day Commit program with Snap Kitchen and I feel great! Not just because I am done (though that is good), but I physically feel great. I have seen a noticeable change in my energy level and moods as a result of the change in eating patterns. Read on my friends…..
As a reminder, the Snap Kitchen 21 Day Commit program provides you with 21 days worth of meals – breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 2 snacks – all at 1200 calories (for me – it’s adjusted for each person.
My goal is simple:

And my tactics to get there are pretty straight-forward:
[dropshadowbox align=”center” effect=”lifted-both” width=”450px” height=”” background_color=”#ffffff” border_width=”1″ border_color=”#dddddd” ]1. Follow the Snap Kitchen menu for 21 days [/dropshadowbox]

So how am I doing?
Follow the Snap Kitchen Menu for 21 days
Today is day 21 and I am going to be honest with you. The food was delicious and there is plenty of options for you to choose to have a good variety of food to eat, so that you never get tired of eating the same thing. However, I am really motivated and excited to make meals for myself again. I am looking forward to eating some things that I didn’t allow myself on the 21 Day Commit plan.
And no, I’m not looking at these donuts…..
After eating the right foods for 20 days now, I feel a change in my body. I feel like my head is clearer. I definitely have more energy throughout the day. I don’t feel the urge to eat at 3 pm. And I have lost weight…more on that later.
I have seen how changing my timing of eating every 2-3 hours can have such am impact on my energy levels, my productivity, and most importantly, my moods. And I don’t want to go back. So I am looking forward to making out a menu, shopping & building snacks, and trying this on my own.
Some of my favorites from Snap Kitchen this week:
One of my most favorite meals and the one I always suggest people try first is the Spaghetti Turkey Bolognese. This is one of the tastiest meals and because it is packed with complex carbs (i.e. gluten-free, brown rice pasta), it’s good for you too.
I ate a lot of my favorites this week – and this is a perfect FALL dish. The Chicken Butternut Squash Macaroni is YUM on so many levels. First you get the macaroni – again, it’s gluten free brown rice, and the sweet roasted butternut squash, ground chicken, crunchy walnuts, roasted garlic, and tangy goat cheese. The combo is out of this world good.
One of my favorite Snap Kitchen cold-pressed juices is surprisingly the Super Greens. I took a big drink for the first time expecting it to be sweet and it wasn’t at all. But the flavors combine nicely and it was refreshing. Such an easy way to get your greens in too.
Cut out Diet Coke & Drink Water
Unfortunately, I did not drink as much water as I would have liked this week. I need to have my water cup with me at all times to make this a habit. It’s sitting right here, right now. Excuse me while I take a long drink. Go get yourself a glass while your waiting……
Exercise 5-6 Times a Week
It’s still hot here in Texas – like 90s everyday hot! But that didn’t stop me from finding some cool in this grove of trees on a walk I took this week.
I have the exercise thing down and I aim to burn atleast 500 calories on each workout. Do you monitor your calorie burn?
Get at least 7 hours of Sleep each night
I’m trying….. but 6 seems to be all I can get. How many hours of sleep do you need each night?
Allow myself a Free Meal each week
The 21 Day Commit program requires will power. Honestly. You pick up the food, you have your menu typed out for you and every container is labeled as to when to eat it. It really couldn’t be any simpler. BUT. It’s up to you to make sure that you follow it and you eat the foods. And y’all, it ain’t easy.
Last week was a busy one for my family and as I pulled thru and pick dup dinner for my kids one extremely busy evening, I really wanted to order something for myself too….. And it took every ounce of will power I had to say no. (I really don’t know where it came from. Normally I am never that good.) I want results. And the only way I can get them is to change my habits.
My free meal? I decided to take it on a lunch date with my hubby. We went to a local place called Pizza Rev where you build your own pizza. And when you make the right choices, you can build an entire personal pizza for under 500 calories.
Week 3 Results
I was disappointed this week on the scale. I fluctuated each day up and down. And I know you are not supposed to weigh yourself each day but I know I am always going to do it. However, this little quote caught my eye and reminded me of my ultimate goal.
As of this morning, I am officially down 9.8 pounds on the scale. But more importantly, the shorts that were all getting too tight on my by the end of this summer are fitting looser. This is my biggest motivator y’all. With cooler weather approaching, I want to fit into my jeans. And I only have a few more weeks to do it.
So I am very happy with my 21 day result – almost 10 pounds!
I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to try the 21 Day Commit Program with Snap Kitchen to see the results I saw. Yes, the change in body size is what I set out to accomplish (and I still have a ways to go). But more importantly, I have seen the results of changing my eating habits have such a positive impact on me and my family. It was such a great way to kick off this lifestyle change – making it easy for me to not have to think about what foods to buy or prepare, but to learn how eating the right foods at the right times can make such a difference.
And as I mentioned last week, I never felt I was alone in this process. The employees and manager at my Snap Kitchen store were always there for me. Mike, the manager, checked in several times with me via email to arrange pick up times and see if I was craving anything particular. He always looked out for my food allergy. One day, I went through my bad of food and changed my mind about 4-5 things. He switched them out for me with out blinking an eye. You have a partner in this 21 Day Commit helping you eat the right things, teaching you about food that is good for you and keeping you on track to reach your goals.
Now that the program is completed, I am motivated to keep going. As I mentioned earlier, this is a lifestyle I want to keep as I feel so much better. Check back in with me next week to see how I do on my own. And thanks for keeping up with me on my 21 days!! Love all my blog followers and supporters – you guys mean the world to me!
