We are thrilled to be heading back to Walt Disney World this April – and just in time to see some of the newest magic presented to the public. Announced this week, Walt Disney World will have new shows and nighttime experiences debuting over the next few months.
Happily Ever After Fireworks Show at Magic Kingdom

A new nighttime fireworks spectacular will pay homage to Disney classic movies. “Happily Ever After” will take you on a journey capturing the heart, humor and emotions from classic Disney films.” announced Magic Kingdom VP, Dan Cockerell. The music for the fireworks show was just recored with a 75-piece orchestra in London, England. Video projections of clips from Moana, Brave, Zootopia, Big Hero 6 and the Princess & The Frog will be shown on Cinderella’s Castle.
Rivers of Light Nighttime Spectacular at Animal Kingdom

We have been waiting patiently for this amazing show to debut ever since it’s announcement 2 years ago. We saw a sneak peak of Rivers of Light last Spring and I couldn’t wait to see the rest of it. Well, it’s finally here friends! It looks like the regal times don’t start until later this Spring, so here’s the times for the show as we have been able to find them:
February 17 – March 11 – 7:15 p.m. on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
March 12 – April 8 – 8:45 p.m. on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
April 9 – April 22 – two shows each and every night – one at 8:30 p.m. and one at 9:45 p.m.
April 23 – April 29 – one showing nightly at 8:45 p.m.
April 30 & beyond – 9:30 p.m. each evening.
Currently, the schedule has only be released through the end of June.
Also announced, the Rivers of Light Dining Package at the Tusker House or Tiffins. Guests who purchase this package receive a meal from a participating restaurants, plus a non-alcoholic beverage and premium seating for that evening’s Rivers of Light show.
Pandora – The World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom

The highest grossing movie of all time finally comes to life this late spring at the Animal Kingdom. Pandora – The World of Avatar will feature floating mountains and bioluminescent plants as well as these 2 attractions: Avatar Flight of Passage – “will offer guests the jaw-dropping experience of exploring the world of Pandora atop a Banshee” and Na’vi River Journey – “sends guests through a bioluminescent rainforest. Their journey will end in an unforgettable encounter with a Na’vi Shaman, a figure who has a deep connection to the life force of Pandora.” We can’t wait to see this new land that replaces Camp Minnie Mickey.
