Each November, the Christmas Season begins with one of the most anticipated shopping events in Austin, the Junior League of Austin’s A Christmas Affair. The 2013 A Christmas Affair, Winter Wonderland, will be held November 20-24, 2013 at Palmer Events Center. This year’s four-day holiday market will highlight the elegance and beauty of winter and celebrate the wonder of the impact that The Junior League of Austin is able to make in our community through programs such as Coats for Kids and Food In Tummies (FIT), along with other selected community projects for 2013-2014.
A Christmas Affair is a fun shopping experience, featuring various local and national vendors. The Palmer Event center is wonderfully decorated for the season -getting you in the mood to shop for the season! And the shopping is such fun with everything from clothes to toys to art work and of course, lots of great holiday decorations.
There are a ton of fun ways to enjoy this event with your family or with a group of girlfriends. Here are some highlights:

Bring your little ones for Breakfast with Santa in our WInter Wonderland. Children will enjoy crafts, breakfast, a chocolate milk bar, and the upbeat tunes of the Biscuit Brothers.
Welcome to the North Pole – $25 per guest
Saturday, November 22nd 9 AM – 10:30 AM
Children are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas and join us for a trip to the North Pole to visit Santa. The Biscuit Brothers will entertain us while children enjoy breakfast, crafts, and a chocolate milk bar.
Fun with Frosty – $25 per guest
Sunday, November 23rd 10 AM – 11:30 AM
Children are invited to decorate their own gingerbread house with Frosty & friends while enjoying the amazing music of Joe McDermott. Guests will also enjoy breakfast and a chocolate milk bar.
***Breakfast with Santa events highlight the Junior League’s Coats for Kids Program. Children are encouraged to bring a new or gently used kid’s coat to donate to the program.

A Christmas Affair is one of my favorite events to kick off the Christmas Season – the decorations are fantastic. The vendors are fun. There is excitement in the air. So grab a few girlfriends and have a great time!Tickets are available online through November 17.
