What a way to spend the 4th of July – on the beaches of the East Coast. We, along with hundreds of other vacationers, enjoyed the cool waters of the Atlantic Ocean for the majority of the day. After 7 days of traveling, it was great to just hang out in one spot for hours and play.
And while I share a few pictures from the day at the beach, I am sitting on our patio overlooking the Chesapeake Bay while the kids are still sleeping. I am still full of absolute amazement that we have been so blessed to go on a trip of this magnitude. We have seen so much already and we still have 4 more weeks to see even more.
It’s hard to believe that one week ago we were in Texas packing. Seven days and eight states later and we are still full of energy and excited to be traveling. Ok, well, most of the time. When the older 2 aren’t fighting over who gets to sit in the back seat of the Kia Sedona. Ah……
We are heading to Williamsburg, VA today to take in some colonial history at Jamestown and revolutionary history at Yorktown. Here is where the history fun begins.
