One of the most anticipated movies of the summer – at least for moms, that is – is STX Entertainment’s Bad Moms, in theaters July 29, 2016. Last week, I had to opportunity to attend the Press Junket for Bad Moms at the Beautiful SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. More about that experience & our opportunity to be our own kind of Bad Moms below.
So admit it. The opportunity to be a Bad Mom is intriguing, right? I mean for any mom who is faced with the same rat-race routine each day, the chance to let it all go and not feel the day-to-day pressures is very inviting. Let loose, shrug off all those pressures to be the perfect mother to your adorable cherubs, and finally relax. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Earlier this month, I was invited to attend the Press Junket of STX Entertainment’s Bad Moms. I have attended a few press junkets in the last year or so and they never cease to amaze me with all the fun activities that surround them. I knew going into Bad Moms, that we were in for a surprise. But I never expected some of the fun that we had.
Bad Moms Screening at iHeartRadio Theater
The first part of our Press Junket trip involved a cocktail party & screening at the iHeartRadio theater in Burbank. This is a fun venue where many album releases and special screenings of television shows and movies occur. It was set up with fun photo booths and a great step & repeat to grab a shot.
As we were taking some photos, I heard someone calling my name. I was THRILLED to see it was the producer of Bad Moms, Suzanne Todd. I had met Suzanne in May and have stayed connected on social media with her, so you know I was so excited. Of course, we had to have our photos taken on the Step & Repeat. And she insisted on the Bad Moms pose……
Before the movie started, we were surprised with a guest appearance of the entire cast of Bad Moms who were there to introduce a special guest….Flo Rida, who has a song in Bad Moms (and one in each of The Hangover’s), there for a private concert!
Y’all. I had no idea how many songs I knew of his! What a fun, fun concert! I loved watching him perform. And what a way to set up this fun movie.
And here is a little peek at the concert from eh Facebook Live cast I did while there:
Bad Moms was just as fun as the previews make it out to be. I don’t want to give away too much yet, so watch for my full review to come very soon. In the meantime, make plans with a group of friends to catch this fun & totally relatable movie!
Bad Moms Press Junket
The next day, we has a full afternoon planned at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. Not only did we have incredible interviews lined up with the talent & creators of Bad Moms, but they pampered us bloggers, giving us some much-needed fun & relaxation. We had the opportunity to enjoy table massages by Zeel, make-up glam sessions, a twerking class, and fun photo booths like these:
The interviews with stars of Bad Moms, Mila Kunis, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Applegate, & Annie Mumolo were fantastic. They kept us laughing the entire time with their real-life Bad Moms moments they shared with us.
It was fascinating to learn how the concept of Bad Moms was developed from the writers & directors of Bad Moms, Jon Lucas & Scott Moore. And of course, I enjoyed hearing more from one of Hollywoods most powerful moms, producer Suzanne Todd.
I am excited to tell you more about my interviews with them on Wednesday here on the blog.
We finished up the day being completely pampered & spoiled – as all Bad Moms should – with a massage from the Ciel Spa at the SLS Hotel. What a way to relax…..
Bad Moms is in Theaters July 29, 2016
In this new comedy from the grateful husbands and devoted fathers who wrote The Hangover, Amy has a seemingly perfect life – a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a career. However she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point that she’s about to snap.
Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities – going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence – putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.
Bad Moms celebrates “Bad Mother’s Day” on July 29 – the Mother’s Day you really want and deserve! Get tickets now: http://www.badmomstickets.com/
