Best Disney Autograph Book

October 16, 2012 by Rebecca Darling

Heading to Disney World or Disneyland soon??  Don’t forget to bring an autograph book! Here is our idea of the BEST Disney Autograph Book!

One of the most exciting things to do at Disney World or Disneyland for the little ones is meeting the characters.  Nothing makes a toddler’s day than meeting his hero, Buzz Lightyear, in person.  And the same goes for those adorable little girls meeting Cinderella, Snow White, or Jasmine for the first time.

They are transfixed, mesmerized and most of the time need a little prodding to get the conversation going.

A great way to remember these moments, aside from the 30+ pictures you may take, is to get a little keepsake of the moment – an autograph.  And believe me,  these Disney Characters (Cast Members) are very happy to sign an autograph book for you.

On our first trip to Disney World, we brought along an official Disney Autograph book that we had purchased at the local Disney Store (they are also available at every gift shop in the parks and resorts). It was nice to have for our daughter to have the courage to go up to the characters and was a really fun time for her to interact with them.

However, on our second trip, we wanted to find something new to autograph. The answer was right on our bookshelf.  The Disney Junior Encyclopedia of Disney Characters gives every character their own page to sign on.

We had more fun presenting the book with their page opened up to them to the characters. Everyone from Mickey, who practically jumped up & down in excitement to see himself in the book……
…to Alice & the Mad Hatter were thrilled to see a page dedicated to them.  It always started a great conversation with my kids and put them at ease meeting them.
We started looking for characters that were in the book, but not as recognizable, – and to our delight, we had hardly a line to wait to see them and they would give us plenty of “meet & greet” time.  We spent time with Geppetto, Prince John, Mushu, and Meeko…..remember any of those characters?  I bet you would once you read their biography in the book!
This by far has been one of our best keepsakes of the entire vacation.  One that my kids will pull out years later and reminisce over.
We have other great ideas for your upcoming trip to Disney World or Disneyland!  Take a look at our Personalized Character Dining Invitation and visits from Tinkerbell!

What a great idea for an autograph book! We bought an autograph book on our trip to Disney years ago and my daughter LOVED it. Collecting autographs was a highlight of our trip.

My boys received this book for Christmas in anticipation of our trip in April. I picked a biography of Walt Disney for my autograph book.
