It’s almost Easter time! And there is a HUGE list of Easter Egg Hunts in Austin (and surrounding areas) for 2013:
March 23: Cat Hollow Egg Hunt (Round Rock) – The District invites everyone to the Annual Egg Hunt at Cat Hollow Park. Hunt eggs with delicious candy inside. Age-specific egg hunt groups will start promtly on time so don’t be late! Events begin at 10 am.
March 23: Pflugerville Spring Fling (Pflugerville) – Bring pfamily and pfriends out to enjoy the beauty of spring in Central Texas. The Parks and Recreation Department has combined the ever popular Spring Pfling with the Easter PFestival. Noon – 3 pm
March 23: Lakeway Eggstravaganza! (Lakeway) – Eggstravaganza! at City Park, located at 502 Hurst Creek Road. The event will begin at 2 p.m. kicking off with a petting zoo, the Easter Bunny and music from special guest, Darren Peterson. Age specific egg hunts will begin at 2:45 PM with the 7 – 8 year olds going first, followed by the 5 – 6 year old group at about 2:55 PM. We will have the hunt for the 3 – 4 year olds around 3:05 PM and cheer on the 1 – 2 year olds after that at approximately 3:15 PM.
March 23: Easter Extravaganza at Turner-Roberts Rec Center (Austin) – Join Turner-Roberts Recreation Center in a community event celebrating the Easter holiday. We will have snacks, games and music for the whole family to enjoy. There will also be Easter Egg hunts for kids ages 1-12 years old, with 1st-3rd place prizes for each division. Time: 11:00am—1:00pm Cost: Free
March 23: Givens Rec Center Easter Extravangaza (Austin) – Grab your basket and hop on by Givens Recreation Center!! The Easter Bunny has been working very hard to hide all the eggs just for you. You’re sure to have an EGGciting time. Don’t forget your camera, the Easter Bunny will be available for photos after the EGGstravagant Easter EGG Hunt! 11 am
March 23: Dittmar’s Search for the Lost Eggs (Austin) – Come to Dittmar Recreation Center’s annual Easter event and help us search for the lost eggs! Prize eggs and candy-filled eggs will scatter the field as the Easter Bunny starts our hunt. Come early to participate in Easter crafts and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny.Registration begins at 12:00pm Hunt begins at 1:00pm SHARP! Fee: $1 per child Ages: infant and up
March 23: Play for All Special Needs Egg Hunt (Round Rock) – Seton Medical Center Williamson Pediatric Rehab and Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department invite you to come out to the Play for All Abilities Park for our first-ever special needs Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 23. This is a family-centered event, focusing on active participation for children with various disabilities or limitations. Siblings are welcome to participate in the hunt. Pre-registration for this event is required. There are a limited number of participants allowed in each hunt, so sign up early to secure your space. No event day registration will be allowed.
March 24: Spring Egg-strvaganza (Cedar Park) – Bring your basket to hunt for candy, prizes and goodies at 2:00 pm. Photos with the bunny until 2:45 pm (bring your own camera). Enjoy jumping in the inflatable and train rides. There will also be face painting for a fee. The egg hunt is for ages 12 and under.
March 24: Southwest YMCA Easter Egg Hunt (Austin) – 1-3 pm
March 28: Flashlight Egg Hunt at Old Settler’s Park (Round Rock) – When the Park is dark your flashlight will be your guide to candy, eggs, and prizes! In this annual flashlight egg hunt, bring your light and basket to search for candy in our treat filled hunt ring. All ages. Tickets for this event are pre-sale ONLY!
March 29: Hancock Center’s Family Egg Hunt (Austin) – Bring your friends and family to Hancock Recreation Center and join in on the fun at this year’s Family Egg Hunt. Don’t be late… the hunt starts at 10:30am!
March 29: Bowling Pin Bunny Scavenger Hunt at Mel’s Bowling (Georgetown) – Can you find all the bowling pin bunnies? Hop to it! There are 8 bowling pin bunnies hidden in Mel’s and we need your help to find them! It’s FREE to play! Find all 8 bunnies and get a prize! Everyone’s a winner! Prizes includes a free bowling game, free shoe rental, free popcorn and more! Search begins Easter weekend (Friday-Sunday).
March 30: FUMC Easter Egg Hunt at the Capitol (Austin) – Join First Church and the Easter Bunny for an Easter Egg Hunt and Family Picnic on Saturday, March 30th, at 11:00 a.m. on the Capitol Grounds at Colorado and 12th Street. Egg Hunt times are: 12:00 p.m. for preschool children & toddlers and 12:15 p.m. for Elementary Children. Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch to enjoy live entertainment from local steel drum bands and games and face painting. We invite participants to bring donations of non perishable food times for the capital area food bank and 12 empty eggs to help us keep the tradition going next year.
March 30: City of Hutto Egg Hunt (Hutto) – The City of Hutto Parks & Recreation Department will host its 8th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Fritz Park. Children of all ages from all over Hutto and neighboring communities came out to greet the Easter Bunny and Hutto Hippo and hunt for goodies on the hill at Fritz Park. Prize eggs were hidden on the hill for hunters to find and turn in to claim a prize. Hunts are split into age groups: 0-3,4-6, 7-8, and 9-10. This year’s event will be begin at 9am.
March 30: City of Taylor Easter Egg Hunt (Taylor) – 10:00 am at Murphy Park. Children will be divided into two age groups, ages one through three; ages four though six.
March 30: Community Egg Hunt (Georgetown) – Sponsored by the First United Methodist Church in Georgetown, this hunt will be held at Kelly Park and feature face painting and Easter crafts. From 10 am – 11 am
March 30: Bethany Lutheran Church (Austin) – All children ages birth through 5th grade are welcome to join the Easter Celebration on Saturday, March 30. We have Easter Egg Hunts – beginning at 10:15AM (Wee Ones (up to age 4) & for Big Kids (5 years-5th), Balloon Maker, Wee One Kids’ Moonwalks, Big Kids’ Moonwalks, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Inflatable 18 foot Slide, Barrel Train, Easter Bingo, Snacks, Easter Bunny, Baby Animals to Pet, Face Painting, and Crafts!
March 30: Easter Eggstravaganza at Sunrise Community Church (Austin) – Free event featuring free food, egg hunt, petting zoo, bounce house, train rides and games from 10 am to 1 pm.
March 30: University Hills Optimist (UHO) Reznicek Field (Austin)- University Hills Optimist will host 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt. It is for kids of all ages. We divide them into age groups for the hunt. All participants will receive candy and prizes. We also will be having random FREE drawings for the adults. We have great prizes to give to the adults. March 31: Central Christian Church (Austin) – Free Easter egg hunt, open to the community. Come join us at Central Christian Church in downtown Austin at 12th & Guadalupe on Easter Sunday! Pictures with the Easter bunny and arts & crafts from 9:45 – 10:15am. The egg hunt begins at 10:15 sharp! Easter service to follow in our gorgeous sanctuary at 10:50am and all are welcome to join in the joyous celebration!
March 31: In.grediants (Austin) – Come join us and let your little ones search high and low for treat-filled eggs (don’t worry, they’re compostable and eco-friendly!) We’ll make sure to make it exciting for the adults too. Hot coffee and brunch-style treats will be ready and waiting. 12:00 – 2:00 pm
