Greetings From Austin ~ Murals in Austin, Texas

April 5, 2012 by Rebecca Darling

Spread the love
The best place to take a picture in Austin ~ hands down ~ is the local “Greetings from Austin” mural. Located on the northwest corner of Annie & South First street, this is a popular place for engagement & wedding photos.  And the occasional goofy family shots……

Even Momma gets in on the fun!

This is just one of many fun murals in Austin and happens to be our favorite.  Our family has been on a mural hunt for the past few months – this is a great way to kill an afternoon – Free Fun!! And we will be bringing you some of the fun shots we find (and tell you where to find them too!).

In the meantime, do you have a favorite place or mural to take a picture in front of in Austin?  How about other cities??  We’d love to hear about them!

Texas Travel Facts for “Greetings from Austin”
Location: 600 Block of West Annie, on the side of the Roadhouse Relics building
Admission: Free
Recommended Time: 15-20 minutes
Good to know: This is a busy street corner, so beware of traffic; there is not much room for a tripod, unless you go across the street; typically gets sun all day, shaded in the late pm
