Looking for something different this Holiday? Why not get lost in the pines by heading out to one of our favorite resorts, the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines. Think about it – get caught up in last minute shopping, crazy baking, or present-wrapping frenzy……. or spend relaxing days with your family, riding horses, making s’mores by the fire, or taking in a spa treatment or two. Sounds like a winner to me.
I am a HUGE fan of the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines (no, I’m not on staff here). Our family enjoyed a few days this past summer here and monthly my kids ask to go back. We were so amazed at how much there was to do together. The Hyatt Regency Lost Pines offers fun water activities (my kids LOVED the lazy river), outdoor fun (horseback riding, golf, bikes, crafts….), and fun evening activities (gotta try the make your own s’mores bar). And for the holidays, they have so many fun things planned.
Just glancing through their scheduled daily activities makes me want to live there – seriously – As much as I’d love to be that Martha Stewart-type, I fail miserably – but I could take the kids to Hyatt Regency Lost Pines and we could enjoy cookie decorating, ornament making, tractor-drawn hay rides, and family Christmas movies each night (full schedule here). On Christmas Eve, there is story-time with Mrs. Claus and photos with Santa. Think I can sell this to my hubby???
The Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort is also offering a special Christmas Day Buffet for guests. They will also have family flag football, a scavenger hunt, and more – sounds like a wonderful way to spend Christmas with the family.
If you are thinking of heading our after Christmas, later that week, next door at McKinney Roughs there are some fun outdoor events planned. Kayaking the Colorado, Sunset Floats, rockwall climbing, and free stargazing are being offered. Check here for the full schedule.
Lastly, on December 29 from 7 am to 3 pm, the Second Annual Lost Pines Christmas Bird Count takes place. I’ll be honest, I had no idea what a “bird count” was until I heard of this event – but it sounds pretty fun! This nationwide event, sponsored by the National Audubon Society, collects vital birding data through this event. The Resort is one of the sponsors of the Lost Pines event and is offering classes, fun meals, and a special rate for the package. Click here for more details.
And if you think all this sounds fun, wait to see what the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines offers for New Years!! Check back next week……
