Disney/Pixar’s INSIDE OUT – June 19, 2015

The other day, I learned that Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story was released in 1995.  Had it really been that long ago?  I mean, that was way before my kids had come along, and I remember seeing it in the theaters.  I was amazed at how crisp & distinct the animation was, not to mention the terrific story. Thus, my love of all things Disney Pixar came to life.

My kids have grown up with Disney/Pixar movies.  The Incredibles was my 13 year old’s first Disney/Pixar movie to see in the theaters and my 12 year old son? Well, let’s say his obsession with Cars lasted a very long time. And now with my 5 year old, it’s all about Dusty Crophopper, or WALL-E, or Buzz Lightyear, or Mike & Sully – (I don’t know, it changes daily.) Needless to say, my family loves Disney/Pixar.

Each Summer, we anxiously await the newest Disney/Pixar movie that comes out.  And after seeing this trailer, we can’t wait for INSIDE OUT:

Adorable, right??

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
