Each November, the Christmas Season begins with one of the most anticipated shopping events in Austin, the Junior League of Austin’s A Christmas Affair. The 2019 A Christmas Affair, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, will be held November 20-24, 2019 at Palmer Events Center.
A Christmas Affair is a fun shopping experience, featuring various local and national vendors. The Palmer Event center is wonderfully decorated for the season -getting you in the mood to shop for the season! And the shopping is such fun with everything from clothes to toys to art work and of course, lots of great holiday decorations.
The $700,000 raised through the four-day shopping experience is all for a great cause. Here’s some of the things it helps fund:
- Feed 1,400 children suffering from food insecurity each week during the school year through our signature program, FIT – Food in Tummies
- Provide approximately 35,000 coats annually to children who don’t otherwise have a warm winter coat through Coats for Kids
- Support 33 community nonprofits with volunteers and funding

A Christmas Affair Brunch: Bites & Bubbles
Thursday, November 21st – 9 AM – 12 PM
A Christmas Affair begins with a beautiful brunch that includes three hours of private shopping.
A Christmas Affair Girls Night Out
Thursday, November 21st- 7 PM – 10 PM
Grab your girlfriends for a night out on the town and enjoy an evening of cocktails, dancing, and heavy appetizers at this private party guaranteed to make your spirits bright!
A Christmas Affair Friday Night Party

Embrace all things plaid at this year’s Christmas Cocktail. The Junior League of Austin is thrilled to bring you Texas’ own JACK INGRAM, Country music star and Academy of Country Music Top Male Vocalist. Enjoy an intimate, one-of-a-kind concert with Jack as well as scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, holiday-inspired cocktails, hand-rolled cigars, and a special seasonal silent auction.
A Christmas Affair Breakfast with Santa

Dinner with Santa – Saturday, November 23rd
Get cozy and settle in as Santa reads “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas” at dinner with Santa! Decorate a hot cocoa mug and enjoy a special guest appearance from Ballet Austin’s premier ballerinas.

A Christmas Affair is one of my favorite events to kick off the Christmas Season – the decorations are fantastic. The vendors are fun. There is excitement in the air. So grab a few girlfriends and have a great time!
