Kidventure Summer Camps ~ Austin, TX

March 7, 2014 by Rebecca Darling

Spread the love

I can hardly believe that it is time to start thinking about summer.  Every year, I feel the pressure to make sure that I have my plans lined up by April! Do you feel that way too?

It’s actually really good to start planning now, as many of the amazing camp spots go as soon as they open up.  Luckily, in the Austin area, there are a great deal of options to choose from.

Kidventure, celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, has fun day and overnight camps to choose from.   Kidventure runs an active and purposeful curriculum with activities aimed at serving the whole child. I love their goal – to simply help grow happy, healthy kids through fun camp activities.

Here the foundations of many a rewarding future are built upon the most esteemed academic traditions such as mud, water balloons and blob tag. At KVU the pursuit of excellence begins with the pursuit of being a kid. Our diversified course selection and rich curriculum are designed to foster creativity, drive an active lifestyle and provide for the most valued of human pursuits, happiness.

Special Needs Day Camp Details:
Kidventure is proud to present Voyage, a camp program designed for children that have high-functioning autism, Asperger’s Syndrome or other developmental challenges. Integrated with Kidventure Camp and the Explore program, Voyage seeks to provide a mainstreamed camp experience blended with lower ratios and a professional special needs camp staff. In some areas curriculum will be modified, in others it won’t. Our goal is to bring Kidventure and our love for camp to a wider population of kids while helping teach all children that in our differences also lay our strengths.
