Happy Holidays! Shopping for a traveler in your life? I have a few ideas for you. Follow me over the next few days for some fun ideas of great products we have discovered this year that make awesome Holiday gifts!
One thing we love about travel is the ability to learn about new places & cultures. There is no better way to learn about the history, the food, the religion, & the culture of a country than to immerse yourself and spend a month there, right? But for how many of us is that possible?
As much as I would love to pick up and travel the world full time, that just isn’t going to happen any time soon. And that’s why I’m excited to tell you about a new product that brings the culture & food of a country right to your kitchen table.
Kitchen Table Passport is a way to introduce your family to a new country and culture each month. Delivering to you a box with a recipe, facts & information about the country and spices to cook a local dish, Kitchen Table Passport lives up to it’s name.
Each box contains:
A welcome guide for the featured country
10 fact cards on the country
Unique herb & spice mix
Recipe for local dish
Grocery list for meal (should cost around $25)
Local souvenirs (for 6 7 12 month subscriptions)
I had the chance to sit down with one of the creators and owners of Kitchen Table Passport recently. I loved hearing that Kitchen Table Passport creates each box based on a country that one of the owners has personally spent time in. This isn’t just facts & recipes picked out on the internet, but it comes from the passion they have experienced. And they want to bring that knowledge and love of each country to you & your family.
I love the hidden purpose behind Kitchen Table Passport’s monthly deliveries. By coming together as a family, cooking a unique meal, & learning about the country around the kitchen table, you are participating in quality family bonding time. In our busy daily lives, it becomes more and more difficult to have a set meal time each evening. When you do have one, Kitchen Table Passport gives you the tools to make it a fun & memorable meal.
The Kitchen Table Passport box is very impressive. I received the Singapore box, which contained a recipe for ‘Laksa’, a popular spicy noodle dish. There is a complete grocery list and a packet of spices to use. The items are easy to find in any grocery store and I like not having to purchase all the spices – that could get pricy and I may never use them again. It’s a pretty easy recipe for kids to follow with fun tips for them as well. Each box comes with 10 cards with gorgeous, full-color photos and great talking points and questions to discuss while you are enjoying your meal.
My kids are not adventurous eaters, however I think they would really enjoy what the Kitchen Table Passport box brings. They enjoy learning about different countries & cultures and for them to smell and even taste what a different part of the world right in their own home would be fun. I really like the idea of a family night once a month doing this.
Kitchen Table Passport can be a one-time trial or 3, 6, & 12 month subscriptions. A new country will be shipped to your door each month and special local souvenirs are included in the 6 & 12 month subscriptions.
I think it is a brilliant gift idea for a family. You can order a family a one-time box or a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription and Kitchen Table Passport will send them an email on a date you specify for them to redeem their gift. Or you can choose to mail it directly to their homes. You choose!
Kitchen Table Passport was kind enough to offer a discount to my readers – 10% discount by using the below code:
I can’t wait to try our box out – I wanted to get this info out to you in time for Christmas, so I will be sure to tell y’all about our experience in January. In the mean time, go order your own for your family too!
You can follow Kitchen Table Passport on Facebook & Twitter & Pinterest. They post amazing photos from around the world each day!
Disclosure: I was given a Kitchen Table Passport box to try with my family. I was not paid for this post. All opinions are my own.

That’s really a neat gift box set to give for people who are into traveling, cooking and real foodies. 🙂 Aside from learning more about other countries and their culture, food, arts and history, you also get to add knowledge on famous recipes these countries have. I think it’ll be a great gift idea for the holidays too.
