Don’t you love the new designs on the Kleenex boxes lately? We made a Kleenex Box Night Light. It was totally easy & my Star Wars obsessed little man loved creating it! Here’s how:
Our family couldn’t be more excited to see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story© TM Lucasfilm LTD on December 16. That’s everyone in our family. Including me. I’m the mom who grew up on the Star Wars franchise when I was a little kid. Good thing I married another Star Wars nerd.
And like any other Star Wars-loving family, we bought advance tickets for the newest Star Wars movie last year, watched all 6 of the first movies in anticipation, and ended up seeing Episode 7 at least 3 times in the theaters (no joke).
So yes, we are excited to see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Being that we live in Central Texas, we all tend to be a little affected by the allergies that come with the fall season. So naturally, I keep the house stocked with Kleenex. I have been excited to see all the fun designs that have been on the Kleenex boxes lately, including the Kleenex boxes featuring Rogue One designs. Aren’t they awesome?
They are so cool, you don’t want to toss the box when it’s empty do you? We have a fun idea to turn the empty Rogue One: A Star Wars Story box into a keepsake – a Nightlight!
Kleenex Box Night Light
Don’t throw that amazing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story box away! Turn it into something useful!
After school this week, I sat down with my youngest and asked him to poke holes into the empty box on all 4 sides with a small thumbtack. I allowed him to take the lead on this, explaining how more holes would let more light out and vice versa. He went to town!
Afterwards, we took the Kleenex box up to his room and placed a small battery-operated tea light into the bottom of the box. We turned the lights off and watched the box glow. He loved his Kleenex Box Night Light!
#ShareKleenexCare
Just like the characters in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, we can do extraordinary things by simply showing people we care about them. Spend quality time with friends and loved ones, do fun activities together (my son loved our one-on-one time making his night light), or be a shoulder to cry on. These small gestures can be seen as extraordinary in someone else’s eyes.
Show others you care this holiday season – there are a number of opportunities – even if it’s just handing someone a Kleenex.
The cool Kleenex boxes featuring Rogue One: A Star Wars Story designs are available in stores now. Grab one today to make a fun night light like ours!
