While at the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Press Junket in Los Angeles, which included the Red Carpet Premiere of the movie, we had the fun opportunity to learn about the upcoming 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards. Here’s all the scoop we found out about it!
The Radio Disney Music Awards is music’s biggest event for families and I was excited to learn more about the event. The 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards take place on Saturday, April 29th at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with performances by some of the biggest artists along with tomorrow’s rising stars in music. A special two-hour telecast, “Disney Channel Presents the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards,” will be presented Sunday, April 30th at 7/6c on Disney Channel.
This year, the awards will be hosted by Jordan Fisher, Kelsea Ballerini, Sofia Carson, Jenna Ortega, & Alex Aiono and will feature performances by Train, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Nick Jonas. We are especially excited to hear about the Moana medley sung by Jordan Fisher, Alessia Cara and voice of Moana, Auli’i Cravalo.
Nick Jonas will receive a Hero Award for his contribution to charitable work.
Britney Spears will receive the first Icon Award in honor of her musical contribution and influence.
The Radio Disney Music Awards always has fun awards such as, “Best Crush Song”, “Best Song that Makes You Smile”, “Best Breakup Song”, and “Fiercest Fans”. It should make for a really fun awards show! Make sure you tune in on Sunday, April 30 at 7/6c on the Disney Channel.
