Renovations at Austin’s Park ~ Pflugerville, Texas

April 17, 2013 by Rebecca Darling

Spread the love

As a momma of 3 kids, I am always on the lookout for fun places that entertain us.  I loved playing putt-putt golf as a kid, so naturally I assumed my kids would love it too.  When we first moved here, the closest “range” was at Austin’s Park in Pflugerville.  Plus, they had go-carts….and my kids love go-carts!

But for a number of reasons, we didn’t enjoy our experience here.  And over the years, we rarely went back.   Recently, Austin’s Park has changed their management staff and added over $500K worth of improvements.  So when I had the opportunity to see all the changes, I jumped at the chance.

And the changes are noticeable.  As you walk in the door, the interior appears brighter.  With all new carpeting and new games, the inside area just feels open & bright – a fun atmosphere.  They have added modern games such as Fruit Ninja and a Star Booth – record your own karaoke song to a cd.

Austin’s Park also has a great Laser Tag with all new vests.  They have also added new lights and music to change it up.  Up to 20 people can play every 6 minutes – with loud music and new vests that even say “happy birthday”. They have plans to re-theme the Laser Tag room in the fall to shake it up a bit.

Birthday Parties are very popular at Austin’s Park.  One of their newest (and most popular) parties are their “Glow in the Dark” parties.  Lights are off but kids are decked out in glow in the dark jewelry and drink from glowing glasses.  Very fun!

And they have lots of fun ways to cool off outdoors as well – try climbing the Water Rock Wall!  Come early on Saturdays for their “Beat the Heat” time and enjoy 36 holes of putt-putt golf and 2 different go-cart tracks.  Up to 90% of the activities at Austin’s Park is included in the price – you can ride the go-carts as much as you want.

But it takes more than cleaning up a 10 year old business to make improvements.  Change starts from the top down.  With the management change, the staff are now much more approachable.  From the frontline to the managers, this team is highly visible and extremely helpful.
Over 75% of the Austin’s Park clientele is made up of families. The look and feel of the facility speaks for itself. I definitely think the atmosphere felt a lot more family friendly than in years past.  And I love hearing how much Austin’s Park gives back to the community, with Project Graduations and community fundraising events.

This June, Austin’s Park celebrates their 10th year in business.  To recognize their birthday, they are awarding each month of this year, 10 years of free birthdays to a lucky child! It’s called Super Ten Tastic – find out more and sign up to win here.

With all the changes they have made, Austin’s Park is inviting you to come and see them first hand.  It’s a great way to send an afternoon or evening as a family.  And the kids can ride that go-cart track as much as they want!
