Star Wars: The Force Awakens Advanced Ticket Sales

October 19, 2015 by Rebecca Darling

Spread the love

Did you know that the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out on my birthday.  I think it’s pretty serendipitous that it’s occurring this way.  As a child, I have vivid memories of seeing ALL THREE of the first set of Star Wars movies in the theater with my mom.  I loved the franchise – so much that I had all the figurines and my own X-wing Starfighter.  And all my playdates involved playing Star Wars.  Seriously – where were my Barbies??

Fast forward many (ahem…many) years and the newest movie is coming out on MY birthday.  And believe me, I have no hesitation what so ever to celebrate with a big bowl of popcorn, watching it with my kiddos. But the best part of all???

I can buy tickets TOMORROW NIGHT.

Yep.  I just found out that the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released debut on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” on Monday, October 19, during halftime of the National Football League (NFL) game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia. The game starts at 5:15 p.m. PDT/8:15 p.m. EDT. The Spanish language version of the trailer will air on ESPN Deportes simultaneously.

To commence the countdown for the trailer launch, today Lucasfilm released this Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster worldwide.

Tomorrow night, following the trailer launch, tickets will be on sale everywhere movie tickets are sold.

Make sure to tune into the football game – it’s almost like watching the Superbowl for the commercials – and be ready to purchase your tickets online.   The Walt Disney Company is providing unprecedented company-wide on-air and social support (#TheForceAwakens), so throw a tweet up there showing that you got them!
