The Three Little Pigs – a classic, short story that shows us how determination & steady, hard work pays off in the end is just a child’s tale. Or is it?
This past week, the ZACH Theatre opened the family musical, The Three Little Pigs on the Kleberg Stage. I took my two boys, not knowing what to expect. I mean, who makes a musical out of the Three Little Pigs? Y’all, it was adorable!
Once again, the amazing cast & production crew at ZACH Theatre have crafted a terrific family show! The Three Little Pigs is a FUN musical with a modern twist on the classic tale. The music is fun, the cast had both the kids and the adults laughing out loud and when it was over, you wanted to see more. Everyone in the cast deserves to be recognized, as they all played multiple parts, but a special nod goes out to Russel Taylor as the Big Bad Wolf, a “misunderstood wolf” who was hysterical – my 5 year old adored him!
I love the Family Musical series that ZACH Theatre brings to the Austin area. I have always loved musicals and can’t say enough good things about the productions in ZACH’s Topher Theatre. I think it’s great that they are also teaching Austin’s younger generation to appreciate theater too, in a fun & creative way.
The Three Little Pigs is now playing on weekends on ZACH’s Kleberg Stage. Performances are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sundays through April 25, 2015.
