What is VarageSale?
VarageSale allows you to buy and sell new and gently used items with your local community. After playing around with it and trying a sale, I like how easy it is to use. And I feel like it’s a much safer way to sell & buy stuff than using local Facebook groups. Currently, VarageSale is available in 42 states and has millions of users.
VarageSale was founded by a former elementary teacher, Tami Zuckerman in 2012 after she became frustrated using other sites to buy and sell online. How Do You Use VarageSale?
I found VarageSale to be very user friendly and took minutes to sign up and start shopping & selling. It’s completely free to use and available on iOS, Android, and online. The app uses location technology to sort the news feed based on what’s closest to you. The more people posting and shopping within a community, the more local your experience will be.
Basically, it’s a “newsfeed” of sorts with what is for sale in nearby neighborhoods and communities. I tried posting an item for sale and it was really easy. I can see how easy this will be to earn extra cash by selling all our unwanted clutter around the house! I also like the fact that VarageSale allows you to shop with confidence by browsing member profiles to see real names and photos which have been vetted by local admins and moderators.
