Pollyanna Theatre Company started their season at the Long Center with Whether the Weather—An Interactive Theatre Experience for Very Young Children and we’re giving away a Family Four-Pack of tickets to see the show for free!
Whether the Weather – An Interactive Theatre Experience for Very Young Children is written and directed by Bethany Lynn Corey. The production runs November 9-12 and 16-19 at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. at the AT&T Conference Room in the Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 W. Riverside Dr., Austin, TX 78704.
My 4 year old son, Gus, was especially excited to see the play Whether the Weather as he shares a name with one of the main characters. Sunny and Gus are two best friends who explore different types of weather and what makes each type unique, just like their friendship. They play through the nursery rhyme “weather the weather whatever the weather” and discover what is fun about each type of weather. This play is targeted to younger kids (ages 18 months – 5 years old) and was perfect for my four year old Gus. We both laughed, participated, and were entertained for the entire show. I love exposing my kids to live theater and shows that are targeted to the youngest ages are the best. They aren’t too long and they keep the wiggliest ones captivated and engaged. If you and your little ones like paper airplanes and snowball fights, then I highly recommend taking them out for a morning of theater and laughs at Whether the Weather!
Tickets are also on sale now for $6.50 at brownpapertickets.com or pollyannatheatrecompany.org.
